31 | The Impact of Imposter Syndrome

Believe me, I know how challenging it can be to breakthrough imposter syndrome.

Even more, I recognize how dealing with the impact of imposter syndrome can have you feeling stuck in a cycle of breaking through and feeling beaten down.  In this week’s episode, Im sharing tips and spilling the tea on how you can recognize and course correct the impact of imposter syndrome during the different phases of your bounce back journey.

I’m using the process of farming to help break this down so you can break through.  I’d love to hear how it blesses you!

Key Takeaways:

  • When you’ve forgotten God its going to be more likely imposter syndrome will have impact on your life and the lives of others
  • Consider how imposter syndrome is impacting your fruit, and how your fruit is impacting others
  • Our fruit should start to look a bit different because its marked – like the organic fruit in the grocery store
  • The process is more than simply sowing and reaping – there are steps before sowing, after sowing and before the harvest
  • When you prioritize popularity over purpose – you can taint your journey + your fruit
  • Consider whether you’ve been sowing the right crop
  • Everybody’s fertilizer is not for your seed
  • If you select the wrong fertilizer – it will taint your harvest
  • Imposter Syndrome often creeps in to make you think it needs to be bigger or better
  • The difference between the directive God gave you and the one you’ve been invited to is God’s directive is going to move you forward
  • When God has us in the dark and is pruning us and it “looks” like you’re not doing anything  is part of the process
  • You can be operating in your gifts, but outside of Gods purpose for you

30 | (REWIND) How to Tackle Your God Sized Dream

Have you been challenged to believe your pain can actually be used for your purpose?

Listen, I’ve felt this way more times than I am proud of on this journey.  In this episode, I am sharing how God made it plain and clear to me that this is no longer a truth I EVER need to doubt.

This episode is actually a rewind back to the first podcast I started in 2017 – Reinventing You.  Though it was initially recorded a few years back – the truth and gems dropped are timeless.

Key Takeaways:

  • You don’t tackle A God sized dream, you take hold of it
  • It can be challenging to process how the pain you’re experiencing could be part of your purpose
  • I was the statistic of everything I never wanted to become
  • Even though I felt hopeless – god was using me to help Others find hope
  • Let God live through you. Stop hating on God!
  • We have to stop using our procrastination to justify the lie that God hasn’t kept his promises to us
  • You’re playing yourself if you think you can go higher without His highness
  • There’s no platform, profit or pretending that will take you higher than your purpose
  • If you’re planning to live your Gods sized Dream you have to release the dream you have for yourself.
  • If we aren’t gonna walk in the truth of Gods word, then there’s no power in it
  • You’re not a chameleon- you’re supposed to stand out.
  • This is the season of the outcast
  • People are supposed to be questioning why we do things the way we do them
  • You’ll miss out on your lead when you want to be in other peoples spotlight you’ve gotta remember you perform for an audience of one
  • You sometimes have to go through as the vessel to guide others to GROW through as the visionary
  • You can’t chase the blessings and applause you can simply chase God
  • You can’t expect to hit it out of the park if you’re an outfield catcher
  • God wants us to make plain our willingness and desire to manifest HIS dream for us
  • Sometimes God gives you glimpses of grace
  • When you begin to DO the vision that’s when it’ll become plain
  • Don’t despise small beginnings
  • Sometimes you’ve gotta I become to become
  • God things over good things
  • Your unbelief is preventing you from being unstoppable

29 | The Power of Imposter Syndrome

Do you find yourself struggling with Imposter Syndrome and struggling even more to understand why?

For a while, I couldn’t wrap my mind around why imposter syndrome was consistently raring its ugly head in my life.  I thought once I got to the root of it, I would have everything under control.

The truth is, I was unconsciously allowing imposter syndrome to steal my power.  If you are ready to take your power back, this episode is one you don’t want to miss.

Specifically, because in this season of layered pandemics, God wants you to be reminded that purpose take priority over pandemics, and if you aren’t mindful, the power of imposter syndrome will become a pandemic in your life.

And I’m excited to share that I am hosting the FIRST virtual Coffee + Clarity Experience on Saturday, September 19, 2020 at 9 AM EST and I’d LOVE for you be there.

In case you’re unfamiliar, Coffee + Clarity Experiences are mini-retreats. transformational experiences to equip, challenge and encourage as you rebuild your life with God first.  In this sacred space you will grow your faith, friendships + fellowship with divine connection, deep conversation and intentional intimacy.

  • You want to finally gain clarity on and be challenged to move forward with Gods vision/purpose for your life
  • You are feeling isolated on the journey and have a desire to connect with like minded women of faith in a sacred, nonjudgmental space.

Key Takeaways for this episode:

  1. Discipline is the bridge to discipline
  2. Unforgiveness is born of your unwillingness to trust God and gives power to distractions
  3. Unforgiveness will distract you from your true identiy
  4. Starting before youre ready doe not mean get ahead fo God.

28 | The Self-Care Struggle

Are you tripping where God would have your trampling?

Are you struggling with clarity because you’re disconnected from your source?

Sis, you know an iPhone will “go dead” if you attempt to charge it with an android charger – so why do you keep trying to power yourself with anything besides God?

Some of the “personal pandemics” we’ve been facing are even worse with the national pandemics. And because of this reality, #Selfcaresaturday often becomes #strugglesaturday

In this episode, I’m sharing a story about my son, and how his keen awareness of self helped him prepare to care for and nurture himself, and educate others to do the same.

I’m excited to share that I am hosting the FIRST virtual Coffee + Clarity Experience on Saturday, September 19, 2020 at 9 AM EST and I’d LOVE for you be there.

27 | The Root of Imposter Syndrome

Have you ever struggled with imposter syndrome? I certainly have.  I’ve actually seen more and more women, specifically women of color, sharing about their struggles with it more recently during the pandemic, and lockdown.  And since I’ve been going deeper into my story, I figured it was probably a good topic to dig into a bit deeper because I believe in the midst of all the pandemics we are facing now, its becoming even more prevalent and bothersome.

Oddly enough, for me imposter Syndrome became more of an issue as I transitioned to walking out my purpose the way God began to reveal he intended me too.  See I’d been the “smart girl” the “overachiever” forever.  When there was blueprint or a specific way to navigate anything I could do it, and do it with excellence.  But when I began to live a completely spirit led life, and do things differently than I’d always done them, the doubt and the naysayers were VERY loud.

As I grew through my journey – my confidence grew as well, because I was becoming more consistent in prioritizing my time with God. i was learning the blueprint on how to be who He called me to be, and a LOT of what I learned came through my hosting monthly sessions of COffee + Clarity for three years!  However at the end of 2019, I felt strong God was telling me to STOP, and so of course, I did.

Then as I recorded last week’s podcast episode, How to Thrive in Your New Normal, God let me know it was time to begin hosting again.

Specifically, because in these season of layered pandemics, He wants you to be reminded that purpose take priority over pandemic.

And I’m excited to share that I am hosting the FIRST virtual Coffee + Clarity Experience on Saturday, September 19, 2020 at 9 AM EST and I’d LOVE for you be there.

Key Takeaways for this episode:

  1. Give yourself permission to be who God says you are
  2. The root of imposter syndrome is a lack of consistent confidence
  3. Confidence in the corner is developed when it is you and God
  4. You can not be distracted by who and how others want to be impacted
  5. God said He appointed you a prophet over nations – He didn’t say who your nation would be

26 | How to Thrive in Your New Normal

This episode of the podcast is brought to you by The P.O.W.E.R. Morning.

The P.O.W.E.R. Morning is a 21 Day Experience with like minded women who are ready to take the leap of faith, and do the work necessary to begin every day full of powerful prayers, and the pursuit of purposed days.  The next experience kicks off on Monday, September 21, 2020.

Here’s what you can look forward to:

  • Covenant connections with an intimate group of like minded women of faith in a private community with access to each daily sessions recordings

  • Weekly Q + A calls and hot seat sessions in a safe space to gain clarity for your specific challenges, and build the courage to commit to your calling

  • An hour of POWER every single morning for 21 days beginning at 5 a.m. EST (Yes, this is early – discipline for your destiny is going to require MORE of you!)

  • A Guided Workbook with 21 prayer, meditation and journal prompts and exercises you will go through with the group, and then go through on your own

What Other Beacons are saying about The P.O.W.E.R. Morning Experience:

Participating in these mornings was one of the greatest “investments” I have made for myself.  I not only learned alot about ME and what I needed to do to move forward but I was partnered with a group of Beautiful like-minded women that were on the same journey as myself.  The environment that Tiffany creates (though the direction of God) is safe, transparent and fruitful.  I was able to see my own growth, as long as my POWER Morning sisters growth throughout the 21 days.

She helps you understand the difference between good things or God things and this was the core of my growth.  By the end of the 21 days, I am proud to say I woke up this morning and started my own POWER Mornings and it feels so good to accomplish something that will be one of the best “habits” towards the #MovementAndGrowth that God requires me to do to move forward with His plans for me.

Tiffany is the “Parable Queen”.  When she uses stories and experiences to help you understand the vision/message, it brings to the surface Habakkuk 2:2 ~”Write the vision an make it plain”.  She “leaves no person behind”, these stories help you clearly understand the message that God is sending through her.

I recommend POWER Mornings with Tiffany to anyone that is seeking direction, vision, and #MovementAndGrowth in their lives.  This “Tiffany Huff Experience” is a must, trust me God will meet you there and use you along the way. – Krista S.

25| My Journey From Setback to Impact

This week Tiffany is featuring her recent episode on The Pain + Purpose Podcast, spilling all the tea and dropping gems as usual.

Tiffany Huff-Strothers is a wife, mother, and woman of faith.  She is called to minister and mentor women and passionate about helping women reinvent themselves following their worst setbacks to make major impact.  She lives out her calling as an evangelist, Award-Winning Author, sought after speaker, coach and Domestic Violence Survivor & Advocate.

Tiffany recognized her gift to uplift at a very early age, as her family became the billboard example for the epidemics plaguing the black community: drug abuse, single parenthood, gangs, poverty, and divorce.  Nonetheless, Tiffany became the first in her family to graduate college and received numerous scholarships, including one from The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to attend graduate school. in the midst of her graduate studies, she found herself in a relationship she had no idea how to end, and seemingly suddenly went from hardworking, mother and student to heartbroken and homeless after being shot by her first love.

Refusing to accept her worst setback as defeat she began a journey of reinvention and has become the go-to for other women on the journey to the same.  Tiffany’s resilience and resourcefulness are known to be a catalyst for changing lives after every single encounter. She is The Founder & Director of When She Thrives, a nonprofit with the mission to break generational cycles of single motherhood.
